"QTI" means Quiet Terminal Interactive and its subsidiaries.
"Internal Works" means proprietary software, engines, tools, middleware, protocols, documentation, and other works created by or for QTI that are not intended for public release or third-party licensing. This includes but is not limited to development tools, game engines, supporting libraries, and internal documentation.
"Published Works" means games, interactive entertainment, and other works created by or for QTI that are made available to the public, whether commercially or otherwise.
"Licensed Works" means any Works — or portions thereof — that QTI has explicitly granted a third party written permission to use, subject to the terms of a separate License Agreement issued under this license.
"Authorized Personnel" means employees, contractors, and other individuals explicitly authorized by QTI to access and use Internal Works.
"License Agreement" means a written agreement issued by QTI that grants a third party specific rights to use Licensed Works, within the bounds set out in this license.
Part I applies to all Internal Works as defined above.
Internal Works are licensed exclusively for use by Authorized Personnel of QTI. No rights are granted to any other party under this Part.
You may NOT:
Access to source code and permission to create derivative works of Internal Works requires explicit written permission from ALL of the following:
Derivative works created with permission may only be used for QTI internal purposes and remain subject to all restrictions in this Part.
Internal Works are confidential and proprietary information of QTI. Authorized Personnel must maintain confidentiality and may not disclose any information about Internal Works to unauthorized parties.
Part II applies to all Published Works as defined above, including any updates, patches, or downloadable content released as part of those works.
Published Works are made available to end users subject to a separate End User License Agreement (EULA) distributed with each Published Work. In the absence of a EULA, the following terms apply:
End users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Published Work for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
End users may NOT:
End users of Published Works have no confidentiality obligations with respect to the existence or general nature of those works. Restrictions on asset extraction and reverse engineering remain in full effect.
Part III applies to any Works that QTI has explicitly designated as Licensed Works by issuing a License Agreement to a third party. Part III does not grant any rights by itself; rights are granted only through an executed License Agreement.
QTI may, at its discretion, issue License Agreements permitting third parties to use Internal Works — such as QTI's game engine or tools — for the purpose of developing their own products. Each License Agreement will specify:
Unless a License Agreement explicitly states otherwise, licensees may NOT:
License Agreements may only be issued with explicit written authorization from ALL of the following:
All Works — including Internal Works, Published Works, and Licensed Works — as well as all derivative works created using QTI resources or intellectual property, remain the exclusive property of QTI. Contributors, contractors, and employees agree to assign all rights to such works to QTI. A License Agreement does not transfer ownership of any Works to the licensee.
Some Works covered by this license may be built upon or include third-party components licensed separately. Those components retain their original licensing terms. See the THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES file included with the relevant Work for details.
